About Me
Welcome! My name is Shanna Stanley! I have come to the conclusion that the very best way to introduce myself, is to share with you my mission statement. I wrote it for my Public Speaking class at BYU-Idaho in October of 2014, and it truly encompasses the way I feel about life in general. I hope you enjoy!
Unwavering faith, genuine kindness, and gentle courage are attributes that I will strive to develop throughout my life. A few of my favorite things, which are baking chocolate chip cookies, taking long walks in the rain, painting with watercolors and eating watermelon at picnics, never fail to bring a smile to my face. I can do anything I set my mind to. If I could travel anywhere on Earth, I would attend every single temple. Of course, sightseeing along the way.
I want to be seen as a person who puts others before herself. Who appears quiet and shy, until you get to know her. Who takes chances in order to achieve the best. Who is willing to work hard. Who cherishes the moments that matter most. Who loves with her whole heart.
The most important contribution that I hope to share with those who are closest to me, is that of love. I want each of my family members and close friends to think of me and remember how much I supported them. I want them to know how much they meant to me.
Often times I dismiss thoughts where I am called to action. I hardly ever go on a run as soon as the idea enters into my mind. It requires a lot of courage for me to take that first step. My life will be spent, focusing on developing that courage.
I thrive off of the experiences of those around me and I am always happy to listen. I love people and I embrace each person's unique qualities. The love and support that my sweet family shows me means the world. I love them to the moon and back. As for myself, I enjoy all things natural. I believe that nothing beautiful asks for attention. It may sound cliché, but I absolutely adore sitting and observing things that make up our beautiful world. Watching the twinkling stars at night, hearing the crash of waves against the shore, feeling the warm embrace of the sunshine and pondering our existence on this Earth make me feel whole. I owe everything I have to my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. My membership and my testimony of the truth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is my most prized possession.
