Hello, my family and friends! It has been another great week in paradise! This morning, because it was raining, Sister Schroeder and I sang "Give, Said The Little Stream" to begin our companionship study and I realized again just how simple and inspiring it is. There is so much for us to give! What a privilege! 1."Give," said the little stream, "Give, oh, give! Give, oh, give!" "Give," said the little stream, As it hurried down the hill; "I'm small, I know, but wherever I go The fields grow greener still." Singing, singing all the day, "Give away, oh, give away!" Singing, singing all the day, "Give, oh, give away!" 2. "Give," said the little rain, "Give, oh, give! Give, oh, give!" "Give," said the little rain, As it fell upon the flow'rs; "I'll raise their drooping heads again," As it fell upon the flow'rs. 3. Give, then, as Jesus gives, "Give, oh, give! Give, oh, give!" Give, then, as Jesus gives; There is something all can give. Do as the streams and blossoms do: For God and others live. Picture (1) This past Monday, as we tracted in Balbalan, we met and taught a kind woman. We complimented her painted fingernails, clear with silver sparkles. To me, just like stars! She referred us to the family who lives across the street, where the 19 year old daughter's job is giving manicures and pedicures. We shared with them a message of the Restoration, and this morning, Myra received our message again! A sure tender mercy! Picture (2) This Friday, we hiked up to Adlawan and taught Amy, our Tagolog investigator. Sister Carmen, our usual friend who comes to help us teach effectively with her Tagolog, was unable to attend. And I can really testify that the gift of tongues is a gift of the Spirit. Another great tender mercy! Picture (3) Sister Lague and I, one of our members here in Valencia. Her testimony is so strong, and we are helping her to strengthen her courage to come back to church. She is so sweet and occasionally gives us chocolate! Haha :-) All is well here in Valencia, and I hope and pray that all is well there at home. Please take care! I love you! Nahigugma ko kanimo! Mosalig sa Ginoo! Love, Sister Stanley |
