Hello to my happy pamilya!
Maayong hapon! Good afternoon! I can hardly believe that it is the second week already! Time flies when you are serving others. Would you agree? I apologize! I do not have very much time! The MTC is great! A typical day goes like this: wake up at 5:45, pray, shower, get all ready, district prayer at 7:00, breakfast at 7:10, personal study, companionship study, and language study for an hour each, gym time for 40 minutes, get all changed and cleaned up, lunch at 12:10, additional study, classroom instruction for three hours, then planning from 9-9:30. Then companionship prayer, personal time to get ready for bed, and quiet time for journal writing. Lights out at 10:30. Although it sounds crazy, it is great fun! And very hard work! I have never been so physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted in my life! But I have never been so happy! I love it!
Trusting in the Lord is a great way to live. It is so empowering to be a servant of Jesus Christ and it is amazing to me that it is not over when I finish my mission! It is a way of life! I learned a few things from the Character of Christ film on Sunday, that you might appreciate. Elder Bednar said that, "turning outward brings testimony to conversion". He also defined testimony as "what we know to be true by the witness of the Spirit" and defined conversion as, " consistently living true to what we know". It is so simple and so powerful! Thank you! Happy 4th of July tomorrow! Enjoy the fireworks! I love you all! Please be safe and happy! Keep smiling!
All my love,Sister Shanna Stanley
