Hello! Kamusta ka? How are you? I hope and pray that each of you are doing well. Thank you for your enduring love and support. I feel you prayers and I am incredibly grateful! This coming Wednesday marks three weeks in the MTC, which is halfway through! Wow! Time flies when you are serving the Lord.
May I just say that Independence Day in the MTC is indescribable! Absolutely amazing. The spirit is so strong here. I love being part of a zone and a district with so many missionaries from the Pacific Islands! They bring with them a special unity. We have created a family here in the MTC. We have learned an island song called Folo' Fola and while enjoying the fireworks from the parking lot, we sang together. We also sang I Need Thee Every Hour, how true it is!
So many moments during each day testify that God knows and loves us, it is so important to stop and watch for them! Yesterday afternoon, as my companion Sister Rasauliwa and I were teaching our investigator the first half of the Plan of Salvation. We were struggling along in our broken Cebuano, when I asked her to read a scripture that I had planned. She read it, and as she read, I realized that I had asked her to read the wrong verse! Instead of 3 Nephi 27:19, I asked her to read 3 Nephi 27:20. I will be honest though, of any scripture I could have shared, that was the best. It was a perfect opportunity to invite her to baptism. Wow! The Lord works in mysterious ways! It reminded me of the scripture in Helaman 13:3, "But behold the voice of the Lord came unto him, that he should return again, and prophecy unto the people whatsoever things should come into his heart." I know that to be true!
Salamat! Thank you! I love you all. Have a wonderful week and enjoy the journey!
