Hello, my family and friends! It was another great week in paradise, and it came with lots of learning! The best kind of week. It was amazing as well to see the tender mercies as the Lord walked with us in this great work. The temple session and the Missionary Leadership Council went so well, and we were able to discuss the needs and concerns of our mission. We had many extra responsibilities this week, and nonetheless, we are doing our very best in our area and seeing miracles as well. At this time, we have two investigators and friends progressing towards baptism. We will continue in faith! It reminds me of the verse in D&C 64:33, "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great." How true it is! (1) The leaders here in our wonderful Cebu East Mission! Haha, my camera was one of the last, so many missionaries were tired of smiling by then. :-) (2) We made a mistake when we didn't know that the Relief Society activity was actually canceled, and our poor, kind, recently baptized friend Flor, was waiting for a long time at the chapel. We came to save the day, apologize and we had a tiny activity and snack to make up for it. She is so sweet and forgiving! (3) Our faithful and diligent ward missionaries who are preparing for missions of their own! They worked with us yesterday evening! All is well, and I am so grateful for each of you! Please have a wonderful week! Mosalig sa Ginoo! Love, Sister Stanley |
