Undoubtedly one of the best days of my life so far! Today I opened my mission call to the Philippines Cebu East mission! Speaking Cebuano! I enter the Provo MTC June 24th!!!!
The Lord knows me and he knows exactly what I need. I am beyond grateful and overflowing with joy! I spent a lot of today trying to distract myself from getting too nervous. It kind of worked! I went to the Jordan River temple with Jenna and we had a great time!
Finally 7:00 rolled around!
Many people showed up and there was so much happiness in the room! It was wonderful! It was a group of people that I love the very most. My family, Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs, Anna, Savannah, Becca, Andrea, the Mckissicks, Christian, the Goffs, Whitney, the Phillips, the Wrights, the Paschals, the LeBarons, the Conovers, Whitney Crockett, the Bradley's, and via FaceTime, we had Heidi, Savanna, Rachel, Olivia, Maddie and Ashley! Oh, how I love them!
As everyone arrived, they made final guesses. My dad started it off and Elena gave the prayer. Then, because I forgot to get my call out and ready, I quickly grabbed it and brought my small red scissors so that I could open it without ruining the envelope. I got it out, turned it the right way, took a deep breath and began reading. I immediately felt the strongest confirmation that the Lord knows me perfectly and that He knows the people of the Philippines perfectly as well. I love them already and I will serve them in every way that I can.
