My dear family and friends,
Sister Allen and I have had another great week in paradise! The Sisters here in Lapu Lapu are doing well. Sister Gil, Sister Arce, Sister Reyes and Sister Capoy are the most exactly obedient, diligent missionaries that I have had the privilege to meet. Really, they are amazing, Preach My Gospel missionaries. (1) We had the Lapu Lapu Zone Training Meeting on Thursday. We taught and learned more about the teaching model that we are recommended to use for effective teaching by the Spirit.
Sister Allen and I have really had a great week, and seen many miracles. The two families that we have been working with made huge progress yesterday! We know the power of sincere, faith-filled, prayerful fasting. Thank you for your prayers in our behalf. We have seen many miracles! Flor, our recent convert, and her whole family came to church yesterday!! Her husband Jerry is our investigator, and he knows the truth. His only concern is that he is always scheduled to work on Sundays, and he does not want to make a covenant such as baptism, if he will be unable to come to church every week. Yesterday was day one and we are so very happy! As well, Brother Moreno came to church for the second time!! He has accepted the invitation to baptism!! We can already see the changes in his life, and we know that with time, his wife and children will also come to know of the truth.
(2) Our new friends of the church that we met while tracting in Kagodoy! Elsa and Debolin, they are neighbors and cute friends.
(3) Sister Arce and I after our exchanges! I am so proud of her, and amazed by her progress. It has only been three weeks for her in the mission field!
(4) It has been pretty overcast this week, and this is our area called Agus. This is the short cut that we take from Flor's home to the Gahuman family home in Sunrise Place.
Here is a thought this week, Elder Jeffery R. Holland said, “No one has failed who keeps trying and keeps praying.” All we can do is our best! Trusting in the Lord! Have a wonderful week!
