Dear family and friends, Hello! How are you? It has been a week and a half since my last opportunity to write to you, and many wonderful things have happened! My last week with Sister Allen had its share of challenges, but we learned the sheer need of work in missionary work. As transfers approached, she and I struggled to forget ourselves, and open our mouths in every opportunity. We saw miracles, President! Sister Allen is amazing, and she really taught me how to enjoy the work as a missionary. We had a very successful baptism for Denver, and lots of support from the ward. We have been receiving referrals from members, and the activity to "scatter sunshine" or go together to do home and visiting teaching was very effective. And, the happiest moment so far in my mission, was seeing the Moreno family sitting all together in Sacrament Meeting!! They are the Lord's elect! We are so happy with transfer calls, I feel privileged to stay here in Maribago, and to be companions with Sister Acosta. She is the most Christ-like missionary that I have been privileged to be companions with. She is humble and ready to learn how to lead these sisters in Lapu Lapu and Mandaue. We called to welcome the new sisters last night, and are excited to meet them in person this week. Also, we recieved a referral for Dadivitan, the kindest woman ever! The description said, "she is sweet as pie". It is a fitting description. :-) Thank you! Have a great week! Sister Stanley |
