My friends and family!
Hello! Good day! It has been another wonderful week in paradise. Sister Nalawas and I are happy and continuing in our work. I have been experiencing stress lately, but I am doing my best to handle it gracefully. Missionary work is never easy, but truly, I have never been happier. Sister Nalawas and I are struggling to help our investigators progress. I really worry that they don't understand the importance of our message. Communication is still difficult, but as we teach simply, and with the spirit, I know that they will understand. It is a great opportunity to learn and grow because we must exercise our faith in Jesus Christ and rely on His merits and mercy. We are seeing miracles here in Lapu Lapu.
One such miracle is of cute Grace Ann Montemayor. She is 23 years old and she is a member of the church, she was baptized when she was 8. Since then, her mother passed away, her father lives in Liloan, and she lives now in Lapu Lapu with her 16 year old sister, Angel, who is now investigating the church. Grace is such an amazing example of light and joy, and she is so happy to return to church after being less active for many years. Such a miracle, and all because of a simple referral! This is truly the Lord's work. We are so grateful!
This week, I have been thinking often of this scripture: "For behold, angels are declaring it unto many at this time in our land; and this is for the purpose of preparing the hearts of the children of men to receive his word at the time of his coming in his glory." (Alma 13:24) What a glorious purpose we have! Not only as full-time missionaries, but as children of God. Have courage and be kind, my friends! Go forward with faith in every footstep! This is the errand of angels!
Thanks again! Enjoy your week! Be happy!

And... I finally was able to withdraw my personal money and buy a camera! It was right before email time, so here is a picture of Sister Nalawas and I in the internet cafe. :-) More to come next week!
