Hello, my family and friends! Kamusta kamo? I hope and pray all is well! This has been a great week! I am grateful to look back now and see many miracles, although we had many challenges as well. It always helps to look at the bright side of every situation, I have learned.
We met with the Calape Elders, Elder Navarro and Elder Acosta on Saturday, and discussed means by which we can strengthen and unify the branch here. They all had great ideas that have been successful in their own home wards and branches here in the Philippines. We discussed these ideas with our branch president on Sunday at PEC and the first activity, Branch Caravan, was successful! We had many members come and meet at the church and went with us to help visit and teach less active members. This was a trial run, and I can see it becoming a tradition here in the Calape branch. This coming Saturday, we have a fireside planned in order to involve the members in missionary work, and teach them how to introduce the Book of Mormon to their friends.
Although, many of our investigators are beginning to become uninterested in continuing to learn and come unto Christ, we are slowly finding those who have been prepared by the Lord to receive the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful message it is! Glad tidings of great joy!
Guess what, Elder and Sister Bell, the senior couple living next to us have a blog! http://KBellMP.blogspot.com I do not know exactly what they discuss in it, besides the culture here in the Philippines, and many spiritual missionary experiences, and I do not know if they ever mention me, but I think it will be nice if you want to read about what it is really like here in Calape, Bohol! I hope you enjoy!
Love,
Sister Stanley
Also, the picture attached is of us carefully making our way down a slippery, muddy path, to the home of an investigator. This is the rainy season and it is wonderful! Just minor complications if slippery. :-)
